Terminals in the Lab View are connected via bendable wires.
Creating a wire
Move you mouse over a terminal and click when the terminal indicator appears, move your mouse to another terminal and click again to end the wire.
To make the wire go in a specific direction click anywhere to add a segment in the wire. To end the wire, click on another terminal (wires cannot be ended on terminal).
While drawing the wire, BACKSPACE deletes the last control point that was created.
The inspector appears when you completed the wire, which allows you to change the wire color.
Deleting a wire
Select a wire by clicking on it and click on the trash can in the toolbar or DEL or BACKSPACE on the keyboard.
Editing a wire
Select a wire by clicking on it to reveal the vertices and start editing.
Click and drag individual control point or use arrow keys on the keyboard. Multiple control points can be selected by using SHIFT.
Endpoints always need to connect to a terminal.
Click and drag segments in between control points.
Double click anywhere on the wire to add a control point.
Select the control points and click on the trash can in the toolbar or DEL or BACKSPACE on the keyboard.
Changing the color.
Choose a color from the dropdown in the inspector.
A fast way to change colors by using the numbers keys 1, 2, 3 etc while drawing or for a selected wire. The color you choose through this method will be remembered when you draw the next wire. This method also works on multiple selected wires unlike the inspector where it will only change 1 wire.
